Thus, entrepreneurship is key to our objective of achieving inclusive economic growth and creating job opportunities.

Enroot introduces the first batch of graduates from MASAAR incubation program – an entrepreneurial program that offers youth a viable career path, inspiring, educating, and guiding them to succeed in their expedition, and leading them on a journey of self-realization.

MAASAR is already present at 5 universities in Upper Egypt and is continuing to grow.

Ezz al-Din Syed

Ezz al-Din Syed Abdullah inherited loofah farming from his father and grandfather, but he faced many Obstacles related to low productivity because of the traditional farming methods.

When Ezz El-Din joined MASAAR project, he learned about modern farming methods, and decided to be a pioneer among his peers in building the Loofah vine using modern methods. Ezz al-Din dreams of expanding Loofah Farming and having neighbors and fellow farmers follow him.

Hayam AbdelSamee'

Hayam AbdelSamee’ is a young woman who founded her start-up “Kayan” a Curtain and home furnishings project more than a year ago and has struggled to find materials, market her product, and expand its reach.

Hayam gained experience and learned pricing, marketing, and product development skills after joining MASAAR Project.

Hiam aspires that the name of her project “Kayan” be well-known in Egypt, and that one day she will own shops selling her products and exporting them abroad.

Jamila Moamen

Jamila Moamen Mohamed and her daughter Nadia, Owners of a palm trees wicker products in Sohag, sought to develop their project by obtaining technical support, business development services, and trainings from MASAAR Business Incubator at Sohag University.

Jamila won second place in Turathna Heritage Exhibition for handicrafts products, and she hopes that by the end of the incubation cycle, she will be able to introduce new products, develop her heritage craft, and reach new markets.

Enroot Development is implementing MASAAR project in collaboration with Sohag University, which is funded by the Dutch Embassy in Egypt.
