Linking Lake Nasser to Global Opportunities: MASAAR Program Takes Local Fish Producers on a Study Tour at Gulfood 2024

Dubai, UAE – February 2024

In February 2024, Enroot Development took local fish producers from Aswan on a study tour to the Gulfood International Food and Beverage Exhibition’s 2024 round, aiming to enhance the quality of fish production and prepare them to meet global standards.

During the visit, Aswan fish producers and Medicinal and Aromatic Plant (MAPs) business owners networked with international representatives from countries like Indonesia, the Netherlands, Denmark, and France. Their discussions provided valuable insights into improving product quality, refining marketing strategies, and leveraging Lake Nasser’s unique resources, including its premium Tilapia fish.

Gulfood 2024, the world’s largest food and beverage trade event, serves as a platform for local producers to build international connections and explore business opportunities.

The MASAAR Program, implemented by Enroot Development in collaboration with Aswan, Assiut, and South Valley Universities, is funded by the Drosos Foundation. The program’s mission is to foster sustainable youth-led enterprises and drive economic growth in Upper Egypt.
