Enroot Development Launches Tailor-Made Training (TMT) to Boost Circular Entrepreneurship in Upper Egyp

Aswan, Egypt

In May 2024, Enroot Development launched the Tailor-Made Training (TMT): “From Waste to Wealth – Cultivating Skills for Circular Entrepreneurship in Upper Egypt” program.

Over ten days, university staff from Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Aswan, and Assiut participated in workshops on circular entrepreneurship, waste management, circular design, and engineering.

The training equipped university staff with the knowledge and skills to mentor entrepreneurs and foster expertise in sustainable practices with the aim of building a thriving ecosystem for circular entrepreneurship in Upper Egypt.

Interactive workshops covered critical topics such as market research and mentorship techniques, as well as a crash course in negotiation skills to help staff support entrepreneurs in pitching ideas and securing deals.

The training was delivered by experts such as Hedzer Roodenburg Vermaat, Business Consultant, Karen van der Linde, Agricultural Economist, Ahmad Al Noubani, Green Business Advisor, Hisham El Essawy, Chairman of the Egyptian Handicrafts Export Council, and Dr. Wael Rashad, Entrepreneurship Consultant.

This program reflects Enroot’s commitment to promoting sustainable development by bridging universities in Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Aswan, and Assiut with businesses and empowering youth through specialized training programs.

The project is funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs through Nuffic Global Development as part of the Orange Knowledge Programme, Enroot implemented it in partnership with Advance Consulting.
