The monitoring and evaluation study for the Egyptian German Center measured satisfaction levels with the center’s services through data collection on perceptions of the case monitoring and management system as well as measurement of project progress and impact while offering recommendations for improvement of the centre’s ’s services.

A study that aimed to identify innovation areas for three crops in Upper Egypt in order to effectively promote them, as part of the AIP project. Divided into two phases, the first focused on medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs), garlic, and other crops in Beni Suef and Minya. The second utilised a market system development approach for value chain analysis, identifying constraints, opportunities, capacities, and risks related to market actors. Key interventions focused on strengthening farmer organisations, boosting productivity through innovation, and establishing marketing linkages of potential public-private partnership opportunities.

A project that aimed to understand the livelihoods of refugees, including economic and enterprise development opportunities, to identify intervention chances. Immediate, medium- and long-term recommendations for sustainable enterprise promotion among refugees and host community members in Greater Cairo, Alexandria, and Damietta were developed. These locations served as the base for creating strategies, concrete outcomes, and program interventions in the realm of building sustainable enterprises among refugees. The project included a socio-economic assessment, a longlisting of refugees' inclusive sectors, conducting sector scoring and selection, and a value chain analysis.

The project was implemented in the framework of the German Corporation for International Cooperation’s Agricultural Innovation Project (AIP). It aimed to to support the entrepreneurial environment and its leaders in the agribusiness sector in Beni Suef by delivering entrepreneurship awareness-raising trainings, bootcamps, an incubation cycle, and a capacity building program for young agribusiness entrepreneurs, fresh graduates, and rural community members.

A project that focused on implementing a monitoring and evaluation system for the Agriculture Innovation Project in Minya and Beni Sueif. Tasks included revising the logical framework, assisting the team in capturing outcomes, and conducting baseline and endline studies. It also involved establishing a project database and dashboard for RBM and M&E processes, resulting in regular monitoring reports.

The project involved organising roundtable events to develop policy recommendations for to strengthen the socioeconomic integration and non-disciminatory access for youth of all nationalities to the labour market as well as fostering social dialogue among relevant actors.

The project focused on assessing the handmade carpet sector in Giza and Behaira with a focus on women's engagement in various value chain activities.

The project focused on summarising and evaluating policies and actions supporting women entrepreneurs and women in business. The project included examining gender policies for women in agribusiness, policies promoting women's financial inclusion, and policies and laws in the agribusiness sector to identify challenges and gaps.

The study aimed to identify all relevant local actors operating in the rural tourism value chain from the private sector and the public sector.

The project involved supporting the GIZ in conducting value chain analyses, in-depth needs assessments for stakeholder and farmer organizations, and a labour market assessment to support the sustainable development and growth of the agricultural sector in Luxor.

The project involved supporting the German consulting firm “Integration Consulting Group” in streamlining their administrative and operational processes for the implementation of cluster-development initiatives with the GIZ in Egypt.

An export refusals analysis study in the food sector that included aggregated data from multiple sources and analyzed main pressing issues halting Egypt's potential from growing its export markets in the sector on behalf of Land O’ Lakes.

Focusing on central villages in Giza, Alexandria, Fayoum, Dakahlia, Assiut, Sohag, Qena, Aswan, the Red Sea, and Port Said, the project involved assessing the outreach channels of the service providers associated with the Ministry of Social Solidarity’s Hayah Kareema initiative. The study included a mapping of stakeholders and identified economic opportunities in the local communities of the target governorates.

Enroot supported Orange Corners in preparing for the mapping the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the southern governorates of Upper Egypt with focus on the agriculture, waste-management, and food sectors.

The project was undertaken as a consulting service to the Dutch Embassy; It compiled an overview of processes and import, and export procedures meant to facilitate Dutch companies' trade with Egypt. It will continue in 2024.

The project aims to improve digital literacy among rural citizens in order to promote e-government in the Hayah Karima target areas. The outreach model outlines the best approach that the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology can use to reach their target groups through internal and external resources.

The project was undertaken in the framework of Solidaridad’s Reclaim Sustainability! Program. It involved the completion of baseline assessments with the aim of supporting inclusive sustainable value chains and the fair representation of farmers, workers, and citizens in decision-making for the sustainable use of natural resources, decent work, fair value distribution, and sustainable consumption.

The project focuses on conducting a comprehensive needs assessment study in Upper Egypt that aims to identify and understand challenges, opportunities, and emerging trends in the needs of youth and women to enable key development organisations to formulate responsiveness.

The tailor-made training (TMT) project applies a training of trainers (ToT) approach to help address the identified knowledge and skills gaps of MASAAR’s entrepreneurship mentors who are university staff members. The aim is to create a robust, well-equipped, and self-sustaining entity within the University of Sohag that can disseminate knowledge on circular entrepreneurship to farmers, local communities, and young entrepreneurs effectively.

The project aimed to raise the entrepreneurial awareness of youth on local business opportunities that they can harness to their benefit within their local communities. It also aimed to understand the motives and drivers of youth, in order to develop the relevant communication and implementation tools that resonate with their characteristics and local community dynamics.

The project aimed to enhance the entrepreneurial skills of female entrepreneurs in start-ups and early-stage companies, providing access to capacity building and business development services, and facilitating linkages to investors and other finance opportunities. This initiative promoted gender equality in the private sector and facilitated their increased participation in the private sector.

The project aimed to empower and assist job seekers from the refugee and host community, to find sustainable decent work opportunities. It involves daily club meetings for a period of 10 days where an ILO-trained facilitator provides club members with career guidance, counselling, and job search tools enabling them to find decent work.

The project aimed to revise and update the ITC-ILO toolkit on innovative Business Development Services (BDS), networking, and SME integration into value chains, as well as pricing and marketing of BDS. Activities included conducting an assessment of the institutional and capacity development needs of potential BDS providers in targeted areas of Sudan and customising the fully developed toolkit to fit the Sudanese context. Additionally, it facilitated a training of trainers (ToT) session on the developed toolkit in Sudan.

The project aimed to understand the market landscape of business development service providers in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), with a focus on business management, financial literacy, and market access services training. It assessed the organisational capacities of these providers, including their institutional, operational, and financial capabilities to support potential entrepreneurs and existing micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

The project aimed to assist the Tanzanian government in establishing effective agri-industrial parks in relevant sectors, with a focus on fostering rural development. It involved designing a model for feasible agri-industrial parks, drawing on international best practices and consultant insights. The model design included the identification of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats facing the government in implementing the project.

The project aimed to reduce the gender gap in the entrepreneurship landscape across Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, and Tunisia. Focused on the agrifood, textile, and ICT sectors, it market analysis, identifying product solutions for sector challenges, and compiling regulatory frameworks for business startups.The results served the establishment of an online platform informing potential women business owners in the MENA region about exporting regulations.
